Complying Development Certificate (CDC)
Do you require a professional engineer’s certificate for flood compliance as part of your Complying Development Certificate (CDC)?
For CDCs on flood control lots, a qualified engineer must certify that your development meets the (NSW) SEPP (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008 standards.
Our experienced engineers will review your development and confirm compliance with SEPP flood requirements.
If all criteria are met, we will promptly issue your professional engineer’s flood certificate for your CDC application.
How Much Does It Cost?
CDC Assessment & Certification – $398 (GST incl.)
How it works:

Step 1 – Upfront Fee: Pay $99 (GST incl.) to start. Covers admin & processing costs.

Step 2 – Assessment:

✅ Meets SEPP criteria: Remaining $299 is payable. We then issue your CDC certificate.

❌ Does not meet SEPP criteria: No further payment required. We’ll advise you on lodging a Development Application (DA) with Council.

We can provide a clear guidance report and a tailored fee proposal for any flood assessments needed to support your DA.

Expert Review
Our Chartered Floodplain Engineer will personally review the specifics of your development.

Compliance Check
We will assess your project to determine if it complies with SEPP requirements for flood control lots.
04.
Clear Guidance
If your development meets the SEPP criteria, we’ll promptly share the positive outcome and guide you on the next steps.
05.
Approve & Pay
If you’d like us to issue the certificate, a second payment of $299 (GST included) can be made via our online form.
06.
Receive Certificate
After we receive your final payment, we will email your Complying Development Certificate to you.
